Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs in your browser, so your files stay on your device.
Will I still be able to select text?
No. This tool saves each page as an image to reduce size, so text in the result cannot be selected or searched. Keep your original if you need that.
Why did my file not get smaller?
Some PDFs are already well optimized. If the result would be bigger than your file, we tell you instead of giving you a worse file.
Is there a size limit?
Files up to 50 MB. Large PDFs can take a while because every page is processed on your device.
